  More about Elijah School
Our children will be learning about God through Creation, Arts, and History

What to expect...
Within the workings of the Children’s Ministry here at Daystar, we implement a teaching method which began in the heart of a 19th century woman named Charlotte Mason. She believed that there should be no line drawn between education and thought of God—an idea that says of the child, “God is in all his thoughts and everyday should bring ‘new thoughts of God, new hopes of heaven.” She taught that education is “an atmosphere, a discipline, a life”.

We believe the revelation she received from the Holy Spirit is worth duplicating.

Our children will be learning about God through Creation, Arts, and History. Classes are taught by staff members and Daystar leadership with the assistance of a parent volunteer. Children have the opportunity to learn about each week’s focus in a combination of three classes:

History
History is taught by Lucy & Liza Monge from the International House of Prayer. They use a Biblical time-line to teach the children the character of God through remembering times of old.

Creation
Creation is taught by the staff members at Daystar. Our goal is to cultivate thought of God through the wonder and awe of all He has made throughout creation.

Art
Headed by Charlene Brown, the Arts play a profound role in our Saturday evenings through prophetic art and instruction with different mediums such as drawing and painting.

Intercession
At the end of every night, we have a time of intercession, teaching the children the importance of prayer and how to pray God’s Word with Jim & Jill Wilkinson.
