MORE ABOUT DAYSTARIn Matthew 6:10 Jesus taught us to pray to the Father, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN." When we look all around us, we don't exactly see heaven on earth, do we?! But if Jesus, God in the flesh, prayed it, it must be possible. There will be a generation who accesses what is available in heaven on the earth. In fact, we must, if we are truly going to be "salt and light" in the midst of growing darkness (Matt. 5:13-16, Isaiah 60:1-3). We believe it is God's heart that all come to know Him through salvation in Jesus Christ. Many Christians stop there, when Jesus deserves our lives and so much more! In Revelation 4 and 5, we are given a snapshot of the grand finale at the end of time as we know it, the celebration of Jesus, the One who came as a Lamb so He could return as a Lion! All of heaven sang a new song "...and we shall reign on the earth" and all the hosts of heaven proclaimed, "Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!" Isn't it interesting how each item listed speaks of 7 areas of culture, or the society, of all nations: Government (power), Economy (riches), Education (wisdom), Family (strength), Religion (honor), Arts and Entertainment (glory), and Media (blessing). Our God is worthy to receive all aspects of the nations He was slain for! Generations of Christians have believed a lie, a doctrine of comfort that requires the least amount of faith from us, that things here on earth will get so bad that we just need to hang in there and survive until Jesus comes and rescues us from this mess and take as many souls with us to heaven on our way out. Yes, we believe that Christ will return, but for a victorious bride who has obeyed the desire of her Bridegroom Jesus who commissioned her to "go and make disciples of all nations". Notice He said nations, not souls or people. Jesus' death and resurrection reestablished His authority over the earth, making it possible for souls to not only be saved from eternal death, but for nations themselves to be discipled, or influenced, by the sons and daughters of God. We believe that the Church must begin to think in these terms so that we will impact the nations with supernatural solutions to the growing devastation rising around us, displaying our Father's love for humanity and His creation. This will happen as we learn to prioritize intimacy with God individually and His presence among us corporately, rather than fill people's schedules with programs focused on man's agenda. We are committed to helping people tear down anything in their lives that prevents that intimacy and equip them to do their part to advance the kingdom of God. |
